I used to dislike normal Jettas

But the combination of them fixing the rear of the car and the interior, mixed with with the fact that I keep finding pictures like this makes it hard to not like them...

Got a '14 as a rental, thought it was a 2-point-slow so I punched it to merge on the highway ... surprise it was a 1.8 turbo ... mighty fun.

Is...is that a prop rod on a car from 2014? I thought only the Avenger had one of those as of now.

I'm only a fan of extensively modified, and higher up the food chain models. Then again, if somebody offered me a base model with manual I'd take it. They're handsome cars for sure.

The S was the only model to get the 2.slow. Everything SE and up gets the mid level engine. That used to be the 2.5, now 1.8T.

They are still alive and well friend. I think the one in the picture may be an S. I know that higher models get struts. For 16k, I'll use a prop rod.

I would very much like a TDI Premium (roof and some connectivity goodies) with a reflash. Maybe have a custom GLD badge made?

I'd use a prop rod on a 100K car, I just thought most cars had struts now.

My 2013 Ford Fusion has a prop rod. the way I see it is If it ain't broke dont fix it. how many times have you seen a prop rod fail? now how many times have you seen Actuators/hydraulic cylinder or whatever the hell they call them these days fail? Exactly!

I bet you have heard of Broken actuators more than you have heard of broken prop rods.

Fun fact: my '83 Volvo does NOT have a prop rod. It has magical crazy springs and shit that keep the hood open and defiantly creak as you force the mammoth hood closed on that bangin' 2.3 I4.
